At Solace Every Mind is Seen & Every Story is Heard!
Solace Beyond Psychiatry was born from both personal and professional experience — the realization that healing often requires care that goes beyond systems, beyond stigma, and beyond borders.
My journey into psychiatry began not only in medicine, but in motherhood. As a mother of two autistic boys, I’ve witnessed the unique joys and challenges of neurodiversity firsthand. Those experiences — along with navigating pregnancy and postpartum complications without the care I needed — shaped my understanding of how crucial compassionate, inclusive, and holistic psychiatric support truly is.
As an immigrant from West Africa, I also know what it means to navigate unfamiliar systems, cultures, and expectations while trying to prioritize wellness. My work is guided by cultural humility, empathy, and the belief that everyone deserves access to care that feels both safe and seen.
In my practice, I integrate traditional psychiatry with holistic and evidence-based approaches that address the mind, body, and spirit. I specialize in mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, postpartum and perinatal mental health, and child and adolescent psychiatry.
Beyond the clinic, I’m passionate about community outreach — supporting minority parents raising children with autism and advocating for better access to culturally competent mental health care. I’m also grateful for the support of my husband and family, who remind me daily that healing is a shared journey.
At Solace Beyond Psychiatry, I strive to offer not just treatment, but understanding — a safe, affirming space for every mind and every story.
